If there is a water main break in your area, you could lose water pressure and/or your water could become a brownish/rust color. The brownish/rust color is the result of iron deposits that are in the system and are not harmful. Avoid washing clothes or using the hot water as it could possibly stain clothing or leave deposits in the hot water tank.
